How to log a temperature

Open your child, tap Temperature in the bottom bar of the Activities tab (or More if you don't see it), choose °C or °F, enter the reading, then tap Save.

Log each temperature reading so you and other caregivers can see how it changes over time. You don't need an account to log temperatures.

Log a temperature

  1. Open your child and tap Temperature in the bar at the bottom of the Activities tab. If you don't see it, tap More.
  2. Choose °C or °F first.
  3. Enter the reading. The field starts with your last reading, so replace it with the new one. You can also use the - and + buttons, which change it by one degree.
  4. Choose a Temperature Location if you like: Forehead, Ear, Oral, Armpit or Rectal.
  5. Check the date and time. They start at now, so change them if you took the reading earlier.
  6. Add a Note if you like, for example "after a bath".
  7. Tap Save.

°C or °F

Choosing °C or °F on the form also changes your Measurement Units setting, so the app remembers it next time. You can also change it in the menu under Settings, then Measurement Units.

Choose the units before you type. Switching units doesn't convert a number you've already entered.

See temperatures over time

Fever Whiz only records readings. If you're worried about your child's temperature, contact your pediatrician.

Troubleshooting

  • "Measurement Value Is Required": Enter the reading before saving.
  • A reading looks wrong after saving: It may have been saved in the other unit. Open it, tap the three-dot menu, tap Edit, choose the right unit, and correct the number.
  • The field already has a number in it: That's your last reading, filled in to save time. Replace it with the new one.
